Gotten a lot of rides over the years from a variety of sources. Friends, associates, taxis, buses, public trans, even hitchhiked a few times. First and foremost what goes into a great ride in my mind is a good driver. Someone who knows where their going (or where you’re going as the case may be), knows their way around traffic and routes, as is an overall good driver. Add to that a pleasant “co-traveler” and you’ve got the makings of a great ride. Everything else falls second. Sure bad traffic, weather, etc. is a pain, but always less so with a good driver.
